What were your previous occupations? I previously owned and operated a bus and coach business in Toowoomba. I sold my business in 2009.
What are your qualifications? I have a Diploma of Business Management and have just completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Why did you join your industry? I have always been interested in financial markets and enjoy working with figures and statistics. I also enjoy working with people to achieve their financial goals.
How did you get started in your industry? I became a more active investor after selling my business and decided to improve my education by completing a Diploma of Financial Services. I was fortunate to be offered a position with Dornbusch Partners as a Paraplanner commencing in July 2010.
What do you enjoy most about where you work? Dornbusch Partners is a small firm with a friendly and dedicated team committed to their clients to assist them to achieve their goals.
What one sentence would you like people to use in describing the way you do business? Jason has a strategic focus and strives to ensure the needs of all key stakeholders are met and exceeded.
What products/services to you sell/offer? Assist clients achieve their financial goals by offering advice and products that meet their needs and objectives.
What is your point of difference? I have small business experience and I understand the concerns of an investor experiencing volatility in the markets.
Who is your ideal client type? A client that clearly articulates their goals and objectives and is honest with themselves regarding their tolerance of risk.
What significant changes have taken place in your profession over the years? The Financial Services industry is undergoing significant regulatory change at present that will effect the away in which clients receive advice.
