My background in mathematics and economics attracted me to the dynamism of global financial markets and the position of Australian corporations within those markets.

I started a branch office of an old Queensland broking firm Nevitts Ltd.

Listen, read and analyse while containing emotion.

Seeing people succeed and feel good about what they do.

Practical jokes in the office are always fun.

On the positive side, the instant access to financial and political data of a staggering volume, diversity and complexity. On the negative side, the sanctioned growth in a bewildering array of derivatives that are merely media for gambling at the expense of sensible long term investing
