What are your qualifications?

Why did you join your industry? My background in mathematics and economics attracted me to the dynamism of global financial markets and the position of Australian corporations within those markets.

How did you get started in your industry? I started a branch office of an old Queensland broking firm Nevitts Ltd.

What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? Listen, read and analyse while containing emotion.

What do you enjoy most about where you work? Seeing people succeed and feel good about what they do.

Describe the funniest incident you have experienced in your business. Practical jokes in the office are always fun.

What one sentence would you like people to use in describing the way you do business? I would like to be seen as an honest professional acting with intelligence, integrity and discretion.

What products/services do you sell/offer? Confidential corporate advice in analysis of strategy, culture, governance, structure and implementation.

What is your point of difference? If I can't resolve a corporate dilemma I have a great global network that will point me in the correct direction.

Who is your ideal client type? Businesses with a great culture, sound balance sheet and experienced management operating in niche markets that have growth prospects

What significant changes have taken place in your profession over the years? On the positive side, the instant access to financial and political data of a staggering volume, diversity and complexity. On the negative side, the sanctioned growth in a bewildering array of derivatives that are merely media for gambling at the expense of sensible long term investing
