Why did you join your industry? Did some work at Swiss Bank in London and got a taste for the industry. Always enjoyed working with figures and it was a bit more exciting than Accounting

How did you get started in your industry? Started as a paraplanner

What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? Try not to take your work home with you

What do you enjoy most about where you work? The dynamic nature of the industry and the great people we have in the office

Describe the funniest incident you have experienced in your business. One of the advisers falling asleep during a phone call

What one sentence would you like people to use in describing the way you do business? They deal with new and existing clients with professionalism and courtesy

What products/services to you sell/offer? Direct security advice: ordinary shares, property trusts, ETFs, interest rate securities, instalment warrants, structured equities; Managed Investments; Advice for trustees of self managed super funds; Ongoing education for clients; Margin lending; Retirement & Estate Planning strategies

What areas to you service? SE & SW Queensland, but with the internet, telephone and email, we can service clients from all over Australia and some o/s

What is your point of difference? Having our own AFSL (Australian Financial Service Licence) means our advice is specific to the client's needs and not influenced or restricted by financial institutions

Who is your ideal client type? Clients that are looking for pro-active, long-term investment and financial guidance

What significant changes have taken place in your profession over the years? Knowledge level of clients has improved; Speed and accessibility of information; The level of compliance
