John Gouldson
Research Manager
John has built a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years in financial planning, underpinned by an earlier 30-year career in teaching and administration with the Queensland Department of Education.
He entered the financial planning industry in 1990 and went on to work as a financial adviser with Bleakley’s, Nevitts, Macquarie, Dornbusch Partners, and DP Wealth Advisory. In 2022, John transitioned into his current role as Research Manager, where he specialises in providing advisers with valuable insights on unlisted investments.
Throughout his career, John has combined professional expertise with an exceptional commitment to community service. His contributions have been recognised with several honours:
- Toowoomba Citizen of the Year (1993)
- Prime Minister’s Medals (1988 and 2000)
- Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2019
- Fellow of the University of Southern Queensland (2021)
Today, John continues to enjoy supporting both advisers and the wider community through his knowledge, mentorship, and dedication to service.
