Andrew has been providing financial advice for 25 years. His expertise is in using Exchange Traded Funds to help clients build and protect their wealth. He is regular contributor to Australia’s only streaming finance channel “Ausbiz” providing expert analysis on the sharemarket. Andrew is an active member of the Toowoomba community and is a part of organisations including being the Chairman of the Empire Theatre, Deputy Chairman of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and being Past President of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce. 

After thirty years of teaching and Administration with the Qld Department of Education John Gouldson began Financial Planning in 1990. During the 31 years John has been an Authorised Representative for multiple orgainsations, including DP Wealth Advisory.  He has successfully blended his professional financial planning advice to clients with extensive community service commitments and has been awarded the following Awards:

• Toowoomba Citizen of the Year 1993,

• Prime Minister Medals in 1988 and 2000,   

• OAM in 2019, 

• Fellow of the University of Southern Queensland in 2021 

John retired from his role as a Certified Financial Planner in July 2021 and is continuing with DPWA as a Research Manager specialising in the unlisted investments, providing advice to the DP Wealth Advisers.

Michael enjoys working with pro-active clients looking for long-term investment, financial and planning guidance to help provide and sustain a lifestyle that meets their goals.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Economics and Diploma of Financial Planning and has spent over 20 years in the financial planning and investment industries. Michael’s extensive experience in the financial planning industry means he can provide a vast range of services to cater for different circumstances and situations. He has a reputation of acting with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. 

Out of work, Michael enjoys a range of sporting and outdoor activities and spending time with family. 

Dan has found his niche specialising in helping retirees and their families work through the complexity of the often-confusing aged care system, after a career in the financial services industry including banking and financial planning.

He knows that no one approach suits everyone and assists with stepping through care and accommodation options while looking for opportunities to minimise costs and maximising government assistance.

Dan believes that the best outcome in aged care planning is where a person’s aged care requirements in keeping themselves safe, comfortable, and remaining independent right through their frailty years are pre-planned and are presented to family and the power of attorney so they are known and can be implemented as desired.

Dan has over 20 years of experience in the financial planning industry . He is an Accredited Aged Care Professional through Aged Care Steps and has also successfully completed the Protecting Seniors Wealth Accredited Professional Training program. Dan holds a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.  

Rod’s background and experience serves him well in providing retirement planning advice for a range of differing client situations. Specialising in retirement planning advice allows Rod to help clients identify their financial and lifestyle goals and map a plan that is regularly reviewed to ensure it is achieving the desired results. This assists in clients staying on track with heir financial planning goals so they can live and retire the way the want to. 

Having spent approximately 14 years in banking and 21 years in the financial planning industry, has allowed Rod to become a Certified Financial Planner, accredited by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA). Rod holds a Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin University) and a Diploma of Financial Markets (Securities Institute of Australia).

Away from the office, Rod is an avid sports fan and also enjoys spending time with his wife and family which includes 3 daughters. 

Jye is passionate about supporting clients to reach their financial goals. With more than 5 years in the finance industry, Jye has dedicated himself to learning and practising every role financial planning has to offer.

Jye is committed to providing his clients with intelligent financial advice and a high level of customer service. He has completed a variety of study to enhance his service offering, holding a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Accounting, a Bachelor of General Education, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. 

Outside of the office Jye can be found with his wife, at the farm, on the tennis court or pursuing his hobby of coin collecting.

After finishing school, Brendan was working as a tradesman for a number of years. Over time however, Brendan developed a keen interest in investing and read widely on the subject. The idea that money should be working for us and not the other way around, struck a chord. 

This led to Brendan enrolling and completing a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance through the University of Southern Queensland. For the last seven years, he has been a part of the financial planning industry, working with DP Wealth Advisory team. One of the roles he enjoys most is working with advisers to construct advice documents that are comprehensive yet easy to follow. Brendan receives great satisfaction from being a part of a team that can help set clients on the path to achieve their financial goals. Outside of the work environment, Brendan enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering through a local charity and through his church.

Mel has been with the DP Wealth team for almost 19 years. She is the Practice Manager and responsible for overseeing all of the administrative and business operations. 

Outside of work Mel enjoys caravanning, traveling Australia and spending time with her husband, 3 young kids and fur family.

Anne joined DP Wealth Advisory in early 2016 and brings over 20 years’ experience in finance and business administration within small private businesses to Corporate empires across Victoria and Queensland.

As Client Service Manager for the Director’s valued clients, Anne applies her Executive background to ensure exceptional service is received at every step of their financial planning journey, instilling confidence, and peace of mind.

Outside of the office Anne enjoys spending time with her family, the arts and hiking.

Claire has been with the business since May 2016, working closely with the Advisers to provide administration support.

Outside of the office, Claire is an avid reader, likes to walk with her dog, and is a keen cook.

Olivia has been a part of the DP Wealth Advisory team since December 2022. Olivia assists the Advisers and their clients with administration support.

Outside of work Olivia enjoys spending time with her family and all things netball.

Cailah joined the DP Wealth Advisory team in December 2021, following her move from New Zealand. Since then, she has gained extensive experience within the business and has advanced to the role of Strategist. 

In this capacity, Cailah works closely with the Advisers to assist with creating tailored financial strategies that are carefully crafted to help clients reach their specific financial goals. 

Her thorough and attentive approach ensures that each client’s needs are met with care and precision. 

Outside of work, Cailah is an avid reader, loves travelling and camping, and values new experiences and exploring new places.
